just got a quick question regarding this, 1. Is it really required for me to place the stickers on the lower part of the bumper? Reason being... At a young age, personally i do not like the CA BIG yellow stickers (just my own opinion) if there isnt any really requirement for me to place the stickers on the lower part of the bumper, etc. I was just willing to have the back parts of the sticker magnetized and just place it on the back parts that are metal.
I don't know anything about CA sticker requirements, but just a warning: many parts of the Prius are non-ferrous. You may find that a magnet won't stay on the proper place. Tom
With the relatively high theft rate of the stickers, you may find that magnetized stickers won't stay on the proper place even on the ferrous parts.
Since the bumper cover is non-metallic, I can't visualize how this is going to work, plus you may end up losing the stickers as previously pointed out. I have noticed one or two owners who placed the side stickers on the black rear spoiler trim instead of placing them low on the fenders. Since CA DMV stopped issuing carpool stickers in early 2007, I am also wondering how you managed to obtain stickers for a 2008.
