I just saw a picture of what may be an 09 Honda Civic in Plastics Technology magazine that looks a lot like a Prius--at least from the rear. Here's the link. FR and Metallic-Effect PBTs - Ticona - 08/08 The Civic picture is small here, but larger in the magazine. Honda Civic is written across the back. You really can't see it here. It looks like a hatchback with rear double windows like the Prius--except the rear lights are horizontal. The overall contour of the car looks similar to a Prius. The article is about new metallic-looking PBT plastic grades , not about cars, so there is nothing about the car. You wonder where Ticona got this picture. Could it be an 09 Civic?
That's the Euro 3 door Civic. Honda sells different models for different markets. In Japan they only sell 4 and 5 door Civics, for North America they only sell 2 and 4 door Civics (as well as the Acura version for the Canadian market only), and in Europe they only sell 3 and 5 door Civics.
That's true, and it's the 'coolest' Civic we can't buy in the states here. If you like the look of the Euro Civic, wait until you see the dash inside....
Honda should bring back the 3 door, or even the 5 door civic. No Idea why they dropped it in the current generation. It could fit, litereally, between the Fit and say the CR-V.
Honda might import the 3 door as some top end Type R version like they did with the previous generation. That would be about it though since the current generation is already halfway through it's life cycle.
Go here Spy Photos: 2010 Honda Hybrid Compact Coupe DEATH VALLEY, California — Spy photographers today snapped the first shots of the 2010 Honda Hybrid, a hybrid-only model that Honda has developed to go head to head with the dominating Toyota Prius. Honda's new prototype was caught running with a Toyota Prius and Honda's redesigned 2009 Civic Hybrid. First time I saw the pictures, I though I was looking at a modified Prius.
