    No need for a ban. As far as reaction? From me it's pity as it should be from everyone else. The guy is quoting an article that was proven to be false and was later retracted.

    He's clearly someone who's suffered an economic downturn and is really hurting right now. If you don't want his continued posts, just ignore it and don't read the thread any more.

    Wow, a Jetta TDI Diesel is :
    - more costly to buy
    - more costly to operate
    - pollutes more (particulates, NOx & CO2 -vs- a Prius)
    - requires more maintenance
    - similar buy-back value as a Prius for age/miles used

    So duh....

    Both are great cars compared to SUV's - that should be converted to Diesel-Electrics.

    I for one am curious about the original poster of this thread, what was his final decision.
