These images were taken today; on October 17. Back on the other Volt threads, the comment was made that "you don't really know what it looks like until you've seen it in person;" however, these amateur photos do a great job at taking the mystery out of the equation. I sure hope PriusChat doesn't size them down, because that would defeat the purpose of this thread, and everyone would say "we've already seen the Volt." it does look good. if money weren't an issue between this and the new prius based on looks...would probably choose this that makes me sad. because i really liked prius
Great looking car. Too bad GM didn't have enough sense to offer an inexpensive non plug-in hybrid version (of the Volt) similar in price and spec's to the 2010 Prius. Even with the $7500 rebate, how many $40K Volts will GM be able to sell? Then again, how many Volts will GM be able to manufacture annually? I would assume that GM needs to sell at least a few hundred thousand Volts annually to make a real dent in their bottom line other than the halo effect that the Volt will bring to the rest of GM's product line. Does anyone have a recent link to any 'facts' outlining how many Volts GM intends to produce the first few years - along with an MSRP?
The Mondeo looks pretty damn good. If I was 12 and my dad dropped me off in that, I wouldn't mind at all. The "Matrix" you posted is the Auris.
Thank you. I sure knew that car wasn't a Corolla. What product line? The largest Chevy dealer in the U.S. filed for bankruptcy a few weeks ago, the Chevy dealer near my house has half of it's lot empty, and the Chevy dealer about 15 minutes from my house went out of business about a month ago. Product line? GM is going to have to do something over the next 18 months, and things aren't looking too good right now. Maybe they should get together with Ford and co-develop a competitor for the Prius and Insight ... and let Mazda design the exterior of the vehicle.
Well it is a Corolla. It's a Corolla Hatchback. They renamed it the Auris for this new generation. In Japan, there's a model based on the Auris called the "Blade" which has the 2GR-FE engine. Then there's the Blade Master heh heh heh.
