I've told our Lexus dealer we will NOT be trading in our '06 400h until the new model has a plug. No phev? no deal. Pretty sad, that the only way you can get a plug in version is to get the tiny Ford SUV ... then you have to get it converted. At least they make one for IT. Seems lame. If you can afford to pay for a high end lexus suv, you'd be more likely to be able to afford a plugin kit. Yet they only build the plugin kit for the escape. So I say no plug, no deal. Oh, and same thing with SKS. The hybrid RX is FINALLY getting it. So Lexus got half of it right ... FINALLY getting rid of the 75 year old mechanical key technology for 2010. Sheez, it's about time ... you pay 10grand over a hyhi sticker price, and you'd THINK they be able to stick SKS in it from the get go ... but noooo. In any event, I hear the 2010 will be comming out early, so there will techically be no 2009 model ... only the continuation of 2008 sales. I'd never heard of a dealer doing that, but I guess it's been done before. end of rant

RX450h will have a lot of stuff - Panoramic roof, LEDs, big NAV with HDD and USB stick access, pre-crash, VDIM, on-demand AWD, smart entry with card key, 15 speaker ML, automatic high beam, heads up display, wide view camera parking system for the sides, heated and ventilated seats, etc, etc... and roumored upgraded hybrid system compared to GS450h, with around 400hp.
nice.. that 450h looks like a lot of fun. the rx400h is a blast compared to the current rx350... GS type of performance?... wha???
jeeez... that's ridiculous. That'll bump the price up for sure and knowing Lexus Canada, it'll be available in a few option packages with the top one having a price tag of at LEAST $10,000 if not $15,000 over the base model.
