Well, I already made some posts but I wanted to introduce myself to the Prius Chat community. Sadly, I don't have a Prius yet, but it is my dream and I'm sure it will come true sooner than later. I currently have a Volkswagen Polo but after testing a Prius in two ocassions, I felt in love with it. Now, everytime I drive a regular car (non hybrid) and I stop in a trific light I can't understand why the engine keeps wasting fuel. I also wanted to mention that I am from Catalonia (a nation inside Spain) and my primary language is catalan, so please forgive me if I make some mistakes writing in english. I don't want to make somebody angry with a bad writen sentence So here I am! I hope I will contribute a bit to this great forum! Thank you everybody
Gakubuhi, Welcome to PriusChat. Come in, take off your coat, sit down, and stay awhile. There is much to learn about the funny ways of this futuristic little Japanese jewel. When do you expect to get your Prius? The wait can be frustrating. When you get your car, the positive experience will only be increased by your knowing what to expect. Don't worry, your written English is as good as most native speakers. Catalonia, I wonder now... could you be as worldly and wise as the storied Dr. Stephen Maturin? No matter, you are welcome here.
I don't know. Maybe in the second half of this year, but first I have to find a proper job and save some money. But I will work hard for it! Thank's! Well, in December I did a First Certificate in English exam for the Cambridge University. I hope i'll pass it. I won't know the marks until february Wow! You made me search the Wikipedia to know Stephen Maturin, hehehe... I haven't read Patrick O'Brian's novel, sorry... But I'm glad to see you know catalonia! BTW, you can take a look here to learn about catalonia. Thanks
Sir, I salute you, and extend my most heartfelt wishes for your success. O'Brian's Aubrey-Maturin series of novels includes 21 works. Some of the more script-worthy scenes were gathered together to make the Master and Commander film with Russel Crowe. Few people have read the whole series. However it is an entertaining and highly educational journey, and well worth the effort. What little I know about Catalonia does come from O'Brian's work, some brief exposure in the televised Velta de Espagne (sp?) a few years back, and a recent episode of the TV show, No Reservations, with cook, traveller, and raconteur Tony Bourdain -- I can't get enough of that guy. Thank you for the site. Some day I would like to visit your country. You live in Catalonia and look forward to owning a Prius. I have a Prius, beloved Amapola, and look forward to visiting Catalonia. Now, if we only had a teleporter...
I suppose you have read the entire series, isn't it? I am not a good reader, but I think I should, at least, see the movie! I'll take a look... hehehe... here we have good gastronomy and nice places to visit! Yes! A teleporter would be very nice, but then we won't need a Prius!! So I'm going to stay without teleporters so some day you'll visit Catalonia (I'm sure you'll like it) and I'll have a Prius! Nice to meet you!
Stephen Maturin is a great character and makes a good literary ambassador for catalonia. Welcome to PriusChat. Don't worry about your English - it's better than most of the native posters. Tom
I have a plan... When you get your Prius, then I should come to Catalonia. I could bring a ScanGauge, and show you how it can help you get the best mileage in all of Spain... Magnifico!
 Great! Now the only thing missing is my Prius! When will it be available in Spain? I'm sure if I go to ask a Toyota salesperson here in spain he/she will say "what? a new prius? what's that??". Well, I'm sure not every salesperson is like this, but in my experience I always met very uninformed ones...
