Prius Heating System

    Is it possible to warm up the interior of the car before you leave in the morning? So that it is already warm inside he car when I leave for work? Will this require the engine to run so that the battery does not drain when heating the car?

    Sure, but you'll just be wasting fuel by having the engine run.

    Why not just plug it in so that the engine is pre-heated and thus you'll get cabin heat a lot faster.
