Oh man, the chicken and steak kabob's were great. I really am not a fan of fish but my guests loved the mahi mahi as well. And their 'sauces' for each were 'off the hook'. I loved the sweet yet spicy tomato sauce for the steak as well as the pesto for the chicken.
Here's some more photos from the NYC event: Picasa Web Albums - Mark - NYC Prius Con... Edit: Uploaded the pics to Picasa, that snapfish just wasn't cool with me...
Please don't be offended Wayne after we went so far to get them but White Castle burgers taste like shit. Sorry but for my taste I preferred the little burgers at the Monday night event! I only had the red meat ones. My build says I am lying but I much prefer lean meat, that's why I like roo meat. Maybe that's why Aussies haven't embraced grain fed beef.
I'd love for Toyota to invite us to an Aussie showing of the Prius! Great way to see the car again and finally make it to Australia, probably the only way I'd get to go anytime soon
Thanks Walterm and Paradox for posting your photos. I don't have much to add that's unique or good, but here are a few anyway: Jim and his new bff Barbara after she took photos of Jim Great swag - Prius Water Bottle Great swag - Wildflower Seeds Card in Shape of 2010 Prius First Sprouts from Wildflower Seeds Card in Shape of 2010 Prius
Barbara, thanks for the pix. I signed up for the Platinum Blonde edition and got Keely. Stephanie at the Gold package & Natay at the Platinum were also great. The place was a tad hard to find as there wasn't any signage but it was a great party. So many questions, so little time.
I brought 3 friends (thanks Boo and OMyPrius) interested in the Prius and I was too busy explaining them the new features. The food and the trivia game did not spare me time to meet you guys there.
A "Tad hard to find" LOL is an understatement, when they said to go in thru that door i thought Vito and his gang with the black Caddilacs were going to be in there
Haha, same here. We got there VERY early... I must have walked by it 3 times since it didnt say skylight anywhere and the address plaque was so tiny I just kept missing it. Funny thing was when I asked the guy outside if this was where the Toyota show was for the Prius he was like "oh, you've got another car to bring in? Here' I'll open the doors and drive it in, someone will guide you" Lol
I'd love that too guys, there is nothing I'd like more. If it happened I'd be Toyotas free host and even pay my own transport and accommodation but unfortunately Toyota Australia don't sell that many Prius here In August last year they just passed the 10,000 sales mark, so it isn't likely they will have the funds available to pay for such an event.
