Settle down, settle down with your preconceptions. I know one of the cars on tonight's show is the Tesla and there's also at least one hydrogen fuel cell car. The preview had Jay Leno talking about these cars being the future. So, hate if you want by I'm going to sit down with a nice plate of veal and enjoy the show.
I think it's a new one showing the Tesla beating a tradition car in acceleration. I can't guarantee no Prius bashing though.
Considering it's Top Gear, I'm not surprised they put the slickest real, production EV alongside a one-of-a-kind prototype of a dead-end concept. EVs are real, and they are now, and they are the future. Hydrogen fuel-cell cars are a scam to distract the public from genuine alternatives. Let's see, lets compare a production EV that at $100,000 can out-accelerate a $200,000 Lamborghini, with a ten-million-dollar prototype of a concept that in mass production would still cost a million dollars each, and which is roughly half as efficient. Right, Top gear! Your usual crap!
Same episode. US gets it later than the UK did. I really, really hope they have to eat their words about the 2010 Prius. The EU test numbers are looking good, but we won't know about true highway performance until someone test drives it. They'll probably still ding it for only having a 45 litre tank.
So they're going to air an episode which they've already admitted publicly was a gross falsification? I wonder if they'll include a disclaimer: "The following episode contains outright lies and gross falsifications because we just thought it would be entertaining to trash a car so good there was nothing bad to say about it, so we invented some lies to say about it. Please keep in mind that the following is all bullshit." Top gear sees no sunlight, on account of where its head is.
o this is already old there pushing the tesla back inside to charge it up just some more electric and green car bushing from top gear.
Here's a link to the tesla video if you missed it on TV. The Clarity bit is here: http://videos.streetfire.net/video/Top-Gear-Honda-FCX_205799.htm
Since when has Top Gear been anything BUT outright bullshit and lies, to cater to the English equivalent of hillbillies and meth-mouth losers? Eg: we have SpikeTV here, they have Top Gear in the UK ....
Which one did you find? There are lots of blogs, but I did find one from an online newspaper Top Gear's Jeremy Clarkson under fire over Tesla electric car test drive | Media | guardian.co.uk
