That episode was hilarious. I remember laughing for a solid five minutes when I first saw it waaaaaaaay back when. I haven't had any birds attack my Prius (as far as I'm aware) but one time a bird attacked me. Just flew right into my head as I was walking down the street. It was a flutter of wings and screeching (it's an open question as to who was screeching more - the bird or me). I have no idea what triggered that. There wasn't a nest that I could see anywhere nearby. I wasn't carrying any food or drink. Just a bad day at the office for the little bugger I guess.
I've noticed the robins returned around 2 weeks ago. When I was out in the yard, a few dive bombed me for no apparent reason. Good thing I didn't have a shotgun handy The cats love sitting in the kitchen window watching the robins perch on the fence and deck rail. The cats actually vibrate with excitement, and make soft high pitched mewing sounds
When I bought my house in North Dakota the windows were a style that had no ledges. I insisted that the contractor who was making repairs install ledges below all the windows for the cat to sit on so he could look out. The contractor thought I was insane. But the kitty would have led a dull life if he had been unable to see out.
Deer and airplanes intersect on the runway. More often than the flying public would like. And more often than the deer would like
Yes, Daniel. I knew that. It was a joke. "Plane hits deer" "Wow, these things can jump higher than I thought." "Hey, maybe it was a reindeer. Ha Ha." Oh, dear. Never mind.
Then there was that plane hitting a cow in another thread, cow must have been trying to jump over the moon. :tsk:
My house has 2x6 walls, and the ICF walls on the home at the hobby farm are about 12 inches. The window jambliner is deep enough for a cat to sit on The kitchen window, which faces the deck, is the one my cats prefer. They can either sit on the kitchen counter or sit in the window jambliner Their second favorite location is the large picture window. I put a cat tree at that location so they can more easily climb up
No one was hurt? I bet the gull would care to disagree!! I also wondered about how high a deer can fly.
