Somewhat more subdued with a bit more Prius content. This time the 3G tows the sun on a string while the actors behave in a litle more subdued fashion. Can't find the vid on youtube yet.
I will be sure to watch Leno on West Coast tonight. Nothing bud Ford Fusion on American Idol, and I must have my 50 plus MPG or it's just not a true hybrid. It is also good to know that the 2010 Prius is good for som light towing. How much does the sun weigh? Maybe I can pull my utility trailer.
I spotted this yesterday, IMHO a better commercial than the first. The people were more obvious than in the first.
It was all over the TV Monday night. There are more comments in the original ad thread. Yes, for some reason the 2nd one is a little easier to take. Can't help thinking about Jimmy Dean sausage though!
I wonder why the show the sun being TOWED, when we are not able to TOW anything with a Prius, from what I have learned on this forum. Too bad that they could not use the sun and show little 'rays of sunlight' hitting the roof, for example. Towing anything could seem to be an endorsement of towing with the Prius to the unknowing new 3G buyers.
I saw the commercial on Sunday! Forget which channel but it was a network channel. Both commercials look really great in HD! You can actually see some of the kids (actors) smiling when they pop up/out.
Just asked Toyota's Twitter folks about when it'll be on YouTube since I guess I missed it in my DVR fast-forwarding.
The sun weighs 1 duodecillion kilograms (two billion billion billion tons). In pounds, it weighs 220 duodecillion. Duodecillion is the fourteenth type of number in the "illions" section of numbers "millions, billion, trillons...." Oh, you said LIGHT towing (as in towing light, or illumination...).
Hey RatFink. First - where did you manage to get a scale that large? And more importantly, how did you get THAT close to weigh the darn thing? :flame: As for the commercials - if anyone manages to get a link to the second one pls attach.

Thanks Rick! Hmm - it's OK, but doesn't have the snap of the first one IMO. Also - both commercials would appeal more to the Green Folks (oh oh, no offense...). I don't consider me Totally in that camp. But I want the Prius not only to do my part - but mainly that it seems to be a great vehicle with the latest technology. I think to appeal to more mainstream buyers, Toyota should shift some ads away from the Green / Ecology theme. But please, selfishly noted, do that AFTER we get OUR cars....
