Local dealer in NW Indiana (who we bought a TCH from in 07) has both with no waiting lists, they got them Saturday. They won't take less than MSRP, but they don't add anything - ie, the IV is $25,800 + $750 Dest & their doc fee is $119. No ridiculous dealer add-ons. They offered to write a sales order on either car, so evidently no list at all. PM if you're interested, I'm holding out for a Pearl IV below MSRP in a few months. To my surprise, they let me drive the Red/Bisque IV, it was very nice. Had about 80 miles on it, so obviously several people have driven it already.
Another dealer today, 9 miles away, has a Blue V w/Nav. MSRP with no dealer add-ons, available right now. Interesting the first 3 2010 Prius in my neighborhood and no one buying or waiting...guess it just depends on where you are.
I have a total of 15 coming in, 3 for service loaners, and 10 for customers. 2 that don't have names on them.
Jeff, 3 allotted for Service Loaners? For some reason doesn't make sense to me - taking potential revenue units out of the sales inventory, and subjecting them to miles (and drivers like rental car drivers...). I know dealers like to showcase new models to service customers to entice upgrading etc. But still - I would think as early as we are birthing the '10 Prius, each one would be golden. Am I reading this right?
Yes, you are reading that right. But it was not my or the owners choice. Toyota has done this for years. They designate vehicles to be "fleet only" cars.. . meaning use them for service loaners. In other words, "Here are a few cars, lend them out so the product hits the streets." I am not allowed to sell them. Basically, Toyota is the one to make the decision, not us.
Jeff, the service loaners are TRAC cars. They are not out of their regular allocation. They were probably ordered 4 months ago as TRAC cars. Dianne
I tracked down this dealer. The 2010 Prius III is a silver with dark gray interior and (unfortunately) it has the Navigation Package. MSRP=$25,550 + $119 doc fee, then tax title and license plates.
Yeah, I know. But I figured if I said TRAC, that would just lead to more questions. Easier to say service loaner.. And if Toyota counted them against our allocations, we would take up arms!
2010 Avail cars as of May 29 I had 24 cars total available. Most are sold, but what's left as of today (and not including what they allocate for me on June 1 for the end of June/early July arrival) are: Prius II - red/charcoal red/charcoal sandy beach/bisque blue/charcoal Prius III - gray/misty gray (has NAV) Prius IV - sandy beach/bisque sandy beach/bisque blue/charcoal blue/bisque -- all 4 cars have NAV That's as of 5/29. These are cars coming in from today, and all the way to the 3rd week of June. I'll know after June 2-3 what I have coming in late June, and into the July 4 period. And, this is subject to change with the next deposit we take. I may also have to use these cars as trade material to get other cars we do not have yet - but need to fill orders. If anything here is of interest to you, email me or call. Some cars have incidental additions from port such as mats, cargo nets, alarm, etc... and some of the II's have the factory bluetooth (PPO) and I am at MSRP with no added markups. Dianne
