Well by now I would guess every state in the country has gotten at least one 2010 Prius. Who has driven the most miles so far? Also tell us how the car holding up to real world driving and any problems that you may have had after delivery.
As of this morning, I have 2,031 miles on my Prius V w/ AT. I've been measuring fuel economy from the get-go, and I haven't pared out the times I punched it, ran it silly in Power Mode or had it in Ready while sitting in it and testing out all sorts of features. (Also includes time the dealer has had it for installation of stuff they didn't have at delivery.) So: to date mileage is 55.4 MPGs. Best run so far is 441 miles at 58.8 MPG. Current Trip A is 123 miles at 60.0 MPG (all miles are just around town). Real world driving? Definitely smoother and more comfortable than my Gen2 (2007 SPM Package #6); also, much more stable at highway speeds and in crosswinds. I have the 17" wheels with low-profile 215/45 R17 tires, so it handles very well. I have one little rattle that appears to be from the headrest on the rear right seat, and the dealer expects to fix that easily enough -- even though it is hard to replicate, because it doesn't happen all the time. I've only had the car for 18 days, but I've been able to take it on several trips. I've run it at 75 mph for long Interstate runs in foul weather with no concern for FE, only time (one segment got the mileage down to 51.4), and I've run it looking for higher FE (62.5 after 3+ hours of driving 163 miles on Interstates, State Highways and County Roads in a mix of rain and clear weather). Most surprising: The VERY quick warm-up and sooner start to good FE driving, the VERY quiet ICE and the low road noise, the great handling with the wider tires, and the fact that FE is so good on a brand-new car.
Prius 2010 III with Navi. Purchased 051709. Miles driven 3,200 MPG 51.2 / based on gas pumped and miles driven Includes 1440 miles round trip to Reno Nevada for our honeymoon. Car is better than I expected very comfortable, quick, and great MPG Alfon
730 miles or so, 54.5mpg on the current tank, I'm not tracking MPG closely though. Most of my driving is ECO mode.
600 on mine. I love it but I will miss the instrumentation via the screen on the Gen 2. My first tank of 505 miles yielded 52.64 MPG with a 5% error rate on the computer estimates (said I had 56 MPG). One major difference to note is that you must push the Power switch if you want any acceleration out of the car. Trying to accelerate with traffic in the ECO mode is very slow going! Lee
Toyota, but you knew that. <grins> I have a little over 800 miles. We got a nail in the passenger side, rear tire and I've had to put gas in the tank. Bob Wilson
