It could have been lack of sleep, or the smoke in the bar. They don't even have second-hand smoking sections in that primitive country. The security looked at me very strangely when I asked if there was a non-smoking place to get a drink.
Not just IN the bars. Clouds of it rolling down the hallway past the restaurant, at least 20 metres away from the bar entrance. An unmistakable permanent stench of it in the elevators, the hotel rooms, the cabs...even whiffs of it in the plane on the way home from my own clothes, wrapped in plastic in my pack.
Here's Pepper. She's 2 years old now and has learned to eject hairballs without the benefit of a remote. And another to give an example of how some cats exaggerate.
That is disgusting. I can't believe that is still the case in a country like America. Does the Government put high taxes on cigarettes like they do in OZ
Are you talking about PCD? If that's the case, I'm glad I didn't go. Laws about smoking fall under state jurisdiction, not federal, so it differs from state to state. In Washington State, we have smoke-free bars and other public places. But some states still allow smokers to assault non-smokers by spewing poison into the air they must breathe. For the most part, Europe is even more backward than America, and in Spain they smoke pretty much everywhere. What a cute kitty!!!
All depends on what part of the country you're in. For example, most of Utah is a non-smoking section. Most rust-belt areas I'm pretty sure you can light up in a maternity ward. Doctor: Ok, now push Knocked up woman: <puff> <puff> I am pushing! WHere's the ashtray? In Nevada, just about every restaurant and bar is a smoking area In Canada, native run casinos appear exempt from non-smoking regulations
Consider the big stink - pardon the pun - recently in Ireland when the government wanted to regulate smoking in bars
He probably would have been just to get pointers on how to drop swizzle sticks down a woman's dress. Tom
Anybody stupid enough to gamble is probably stupid enough to smoke. If you banned smoking, casinos would go out of business. No. But you said the smoke poured out into the hallway and infiltrated the hotel. I'm very sensitive to smoke. You also said your clothing stank of smoke from the bar, which means I'd have been smelling the stale smoke on everyone's clothing.
