Tires for the Enkei Wheels shown in my earlier post. Any of these as listed at Tire Rack with a preference for Michelin. The 2010 prius has the same spec tires and wheels as my current 2003 Cavalier(inherited with 2 bent wheels). The cost of a set of these would be on par with Southeast Toyota pricing and more than the Cavy is worth!
It's funny to see how national distributors have different ideas on this matter. In the US you get 15" wheels on all models except for the most expensive, in the Netherlands we get 17" wheels on all models except for the cheapest.
in italy the cars like prius have 17" too (example focus, audi A4, fiat bravo ...) my prius comes with 17" but i love the OZ ultraleggera (ultra lightweight) wheels!
Yes indeed. Or the Alleggerita HLT, also a very light wheel. I've never seen weight figures with alloy wheels, which is rather silly since you're suppose to use ally wheels because they are lighter.
I have a doubt, I ordered the prius with 17 " the original wheels will be better (more aerodynamic) than aftermarket (lighter) wheels? what influence as a factor of more consumption?
If you like the package you ordered then don't worry about it. The people with factory 17" wheels on their GenIII seem to be getting good MPG and they are happy with their purchase. I'd put the doubt out of your head and just enjoy the car when it gets here. It will be wonderful.
