Does anyone know of a way to adjust the voice guidance prompts and or incoming ring volume on gen 3 without Nav?
Good question. A question I have: Can stream audio via BT (say and ipod) and have your phone paired at the same time?
I have last years Iphone 3G and although it synchs up perfectly with the car to make calls I do not believe it has the capability to stream music. Maybe the new Iphone does? In any case , incoming ring volume ( car, not phone ) is quite high and I'm curious if there is an adjustment for this? Also, the female guidance voice volume should be adjustable..
The voice guidance has a setting in Setup on the radio dial. To control ring and speaker volume, adjust it with the steering wheel radio volume button while it is ringing and/or when the party at the other end is speaking. Works on mine.
How about streaming music to a non Nav system? I don't think I can with the older 3G phone. If I can, kindly explain how...
I don't think the incoming ringing volume is controlable. Also read the manual which was no help here. Any help appreciated. Thanks.
I posted this reply to you earlier in this same thread: The voice guidance has a setting in Setup on the radio dial. To control ring and speaker volume, adjust it with the steering wheel radio volume button while it is ringing and/or when the party at the other end is speaking. Works on mine.
Yes it does work thanks. Does the ring volume stay at that level for all incoming calls or do you have to adjust it all the time? Only tried it on one call.
Interesting you should ask that, since I had only had one incoming when I set it, as well. I was just out, had my wife call me, and yes, the setting persists on new calls and rings.
I believe I found it in a video on the Toyota site for Camry with Bluetooth and non-NAV, or perhaps a FAQ on the Toyota Bluetooth pages. It should be in the manual, I agree.
