We have a frost warning for tonight. We won't get it where I live, out in the lake, but inland frost is a real possibility tonight. It's been a wet, cold summer, but sheesh, it seems a bit early for frost. Tom
lol.. I don't know what the criteria is for frost warning in your state but up here, it's 0°C. Below 4°C, we issue risk of frost in temperature forecast (e.g. Tonight: Low 2°C with the risk of frost). We've had a few of those already.
We didn't even have a summer here. Got down to 38 last night and probably the same tonight. They predicted it correctly in early spring, It was a summer without a summer.
Frost is for October. Forecast low of 60F here tonight. August was wetter and cooler than July, which produced record highs.
Sorry guys. August was lovely in VT, much better than rainy rainy July. Days of temps in the 80's, rain at night. Sept is starting with a sunny week in the 70s with lows in the 50s F. No frost warnings here yet. Too bad I have to head home to MA today.
It's hot here these days, sunny to mostly sunny. Too bad I didn't stay a few more days in Waterton, Alberta.
we've had record heat-waves, 105-109, and rain in august. Both strange. I canned yesterday and didn't even break a sweat.
Exactly. My wife and I were canoing on an small inland lake, and I kept wondering why the trees were not in fall colors. Tom
We have had fantastic rains this month, looking like a good year for farmers. Temps, pretty normal for winter.
On the east coast (of Australia) we have almost had a summer in winter. Brisbane set a new record of 29oC last week and Sydney has been in the mid 20's for the last two weeks (that is approximately mid 70's for those stuck in Fahrenheit). We already are starting to get some bushfires. I heard some predictions on the TV last night that was saying that here on the east coast we are likely to get lots of dry hot weather for our summer with temps higher than normal. Lots of good bushfire weather. They were saying that Adelaide will get mostly normal summer weather, so I may need to move down to be with Pat.
Missouri has been unseasonably cold too, and by cold I mean mornings in the high 40's and 50's which is really only cold by comparison, but the point is it's still supposed to be pretty warm. 40 or 50 F is like 4 to 10 degrees C.
