OK.. First time poster here, be gentle. This past Monday, I plunked down a deposit on my 2010 Winter Gray Prius III. It is in transit, on the Pyxis Leader cargo ship. As of Friday, October 2, the Pyxis Leader was off the coast of Baja California. That is the last update on Marine Traffic dot com. Any best guesses as to when it might arrive in the great Northeast?? :clock:
yeah I know, but you have yours. I want mine. and trust me, with all the cajoling I have had to do with upper management, I have had to wait months for mine as well.
The first 2010 I ordered was 10 days late based on estimate arrival date in the dealer. The dealer kept saying that such delays happen occasionally and that they could not find the exact location of the car. I felt something was wrong and people here in this chat helped me to figure out what was happening. It turned out that the car was damaged during transport and was getting fixed in Chicago. The dealer knew about it all the time and was trying to hide it from me until the car was fixed, so I would never know. When they realize I found out the truth, they returned my deposit very quickly.
Same route mine took. You can track that on some sites located in these threads. I quit monitoring after mine came in. It only took about a day and a half to get from jacksonville to new jersey if I remember right. Now once it dock and unloads, the time is unpredictible. I was watching and deliveries were showing up in WV faster than they were in NY and NJ which didn't make sense. The Northern district people were waiting a week longer than I did and their cars unladed at Newark as well. I had a holiday weekend to contend with but it took about 10 days after docking to have it delivered to my dealer. I've seen it in 7 days on early shipments and 14 days on others while I waited on my allocation. If you go back to the June and July postings you can see where a lot of us tracked our deiveries and have the time frame listed.
I talked to my salesperson today. She says my Prius is scheduled for delivery sometime between October 21 and 26!
