Okay, I know this has been answered on OLDER models, and in fact I got rid of the backup and seatbelt beeping noise in my 2004 Prius, but I cannot seem to do this on the 2010 Prius IV with navigation screen. HELP, PLEASE, before I go nuts!
go to the dealer.... period. They will change it, via their laptop, frmo continuous beeping to a single beep. Mine did it for free. Good luck.
Thanks for the dealer/laptop info. Will do. As for searching, I did Senior Dad, and the newest post was on models before this generation.
I often find it difficult to get useful search results, but you can limit your search to Gen III forums. In this case, by searching "backup beep" I found several obvious threads.
You can get it done by the dealership. It might be free , one hr of labor or whatever. It all depends how greedy that dealership is. Or you can do what I did, I bought the mongoose mfc cable and find techstream from google and do it your own.
