Green Car Congress: Reported US Sales of Hybrids Up 11.4% in October Year-on-Year; 2.9% New Vehicle Share for the Month Bob Wilson
"Total hybrid sales up 11.4 %" I would like to see a greater increase, but 11.4% is certainly a good sign. Hybrids are only 3% of total vehicle sales? I'm sure that number will be quite different at this same time next year. I've been seeing A LOT more hybrids on the roads lately. More and more people are buying hybrids over traditional ICE vehicles.
There are some who look at the glass and say that it's 97.1% empty. I choose to say that it's 2.9% full.
FYI, In Japan, the hybrid share was 18.4% in August and 16.2% in September 2009. Prius is keeping the top selling position since June. Ken@Japan
In another thread I predicted low 14k. Little did I know some port cars in Japan took damage from a typhoon. We're supply constrained. That number would be bigger if we could get more cars. Working on it. Doug Coleman Prius Product Manager Toyota Motor Sales, USA
