I hail from Rockville, MD where we got our first prius at Fitzgerald Toyota in Rockville. My family each owns a prius, we have a 2002 (mine, which used to belong to my mom), a 2008? prius and a 2010. We also have a toyota Sienna for my dad's dive trips. I love my car and it has low mileage on it. I plan to keep driving it till it croaks for good. I am an aspiring environmentalist and this car is ideal for this job, because my model is much quieter than the two my parents own. it stops idling and can sneak up on animals easily (as long as I turn off the air). My fiance is a mechanic, but he doesn't specialize in my car, as of right now, he mostly does oil changes and is in between jobs. so I have joined to talk to other first generation prius owners in the hopes that should anything arise I can find help, and we can chat about out cars. if you are in the boca area or if i am in the Rockville, MD area and see my car, wave at me. I have lobsters on the dash most of the time.
