Hi James, I have a friend in OC that has a Gen III. He lives in Rancho San Margarito, CA. Would you mine meeting up with him to disable the backup alert beep? I have a Gen II, 2008 and I didn't need to buy a Scan Gauge or anything like that and I told him turning it off on a Gen III would be just as simple. But researching it didn't seem like that was so, let me know if you are still offering your services! Thanks!
