A bull head. A Tee made of ovals. Or is it something else?? Or maybe shapes found in the snow at Prius Connection Detroit?
Toyota Logo - Design and History The current Toyota Mark consists of three ovals: the two perpendicular center ovals represent a relationship of mutual trust between the customer and Toyota. These ovals combine to symbolize the letter "T" for Toyota. The space in the background implies a global expansion of Toyota's technology and unlimited potential for the future.
Toyota = it's all about the three rings. each ring has a meaning. 1.) The heart of the customer. 2.) The heart of the product. 3.) The ever-expanding technological advancements and boundless opportunities that lie ahead. "Toyo" means an abundance of. "ta" means Rice. When the company was founded in 1937, the name 'Toyota' was used rather than the family name, 'Toyoda'. There were three reasons for this: Signify the separation of the founders' work life from home life Simplify the pronunciation Give the company an auspicious beginning; eight is a lucky number and it takes eight strokes to write Toyota in Katakana, whereas it takes ten to write Toyoda
Very cool. I am glad that they have tradition and real values behind this instead of purely some fancy marketing company. When you see print ads, TV and internet ones I really have to wonder why someone is paying people so much money to come up with this crap! Ads rarely encourage me to buy a product and are just downright annoying!
To be honest, I was surprised when I first saw the Toyota trucks logo and how they had changed the standard logo. But I like it.
