I was reading a somewhat interesting article (thanks to slashdot) The Secret Lives of Amazon's Elves - Amazon - Gizmodo when I clicked on the "hit the road" link which led to Tales from Technomadia. I noticed that on Tales from Technomadia About Us the two geeks involved met each other on some Prius forum. It didn't say which one. Did they meet here? It sounds like a happy story so far. BTW, three items mentioned in the story are quite funny. (not intending to make this a political thread) Amazon.com: Chia Obama Handmade Decorative Planter, Determined Pose: Health & Personal Care Amazon.com: CSB Bill Clinton Corkscrew: Kitchen & Dining Amazon.com: The Mooning Garden Gnome: Patio, Lawn & Garden I don't wish to out them unless they want to come forward w/their handles.
Hi there.. this is Cherie (and Chris). We were tickled to see this post appear as a follow-up to our Slashdot appearance about our time checking out workamping at Amazon. However, PriusChat is not where our original meeting occurred - it was on the LiveJournal Prius community. Unfortunately, this site won't allow me to post URLs yet.. however if you check out our blog (Technomadia.com) and go back a page to our recednt 'Farewell Jeep, Hello Tundra' posting, there's a bit of our story there, including a link to our first meeting. It is indeed a very happy story so far! We've be living on the road together for over 2.5 years so far. The only unhappy part is that we both had to give up our Priuses to live our technomadic lifestyle. All our best, - Cherie & Chris
I like your Oliver trailer. We have a 1978 fiberglass trailer about the same size, but my GF decided to buy a fiberglass motorhome about 1 1/2 years ago. We find campsites the same way you do - last minute, spur of the moment decision.
Lots of fun people have met each other on the Internet, often through discussion boards. Having similar interests is a great way to start a relationship. I've met several very nice people online, including my DH! I've also met a number of very nice people from Priuschat.
