For us egomaniacs, is there a way to search for the threads we have contributed to or started, so we can see if anyone has responded to us? Thanks
I use several methods: I use search for Jimbo and JimboPalmer, if they quoted me, it will say JimboPalmer, but if they call me by name it is likely Jimbo. You can search by post for kgall In the Upper Right it of your screen it says Welcome, kgall where kgall is a link, if you choose statistics you will see all posts by kgall and all threads started by kgall
I do this all the time -- search for my own posts, to go find any followups that people may have added after I asked a question or something. Without that, I'd never be able to read followups because they'd be totally buried. . _H*
You can also click on UserCP near the top left of the page. You will see a list of New Subscribed Threads. Scroll down to the bottom of the list and you will see a link View All Subscribed Threads. If you click on that link you get every thread you have ever posted in (assuming that you kept the forum default to automatically subscribe).
Try this, Click on your user name, top left of the screen. Scroll up if you can't see it. Under your avatar you will see a tab which says "Visitor Messages" 2 tabs to the right is a tab, "Statistics", click it. 4 lines down you will see "Find all posts by (your user name)" Click this. There it is, an index of every post you ever made on Prius Chat. Right under that is a "Find all threads started by (your user name)" Edit, it seems that will find your last 500 posts.
You are all correct but there is a much easier way. 1) Find ANY post you have made. 2) Click on your username above your avatar. 3) from the drop-down menu, select [Find more posts by . . .] Note: on the results screen, be sure to click on the link to the post and not the thread - unless you want the thread. This results screen is the perfect use for tabbed browsing because you can open the individual posts in separate tabs.
