I'm watching bits and pieces of the DVD that was included with the 2010 owner's manual. There's a section on sounds specific to a hybrid vehicle. At one point they cover deceleration and she says, "When decelerating, there is an audible [sound] from the Engine Room". I know some of you call your car a space ship, but geeez! Or is "Engine Room" a normal thing to call the engine compartment of a car? Or, (for those with the DVD) am I mis-hearing it?
you probably need to not take it so literaly, it was probably translated from Japanese, and that is probably as close as they can come to "Engine Compartment" P.S. Beam me up, Scotty! Mitch
Well sure its an engine room... where else are you going to keep the dilithium crystals and warp core?
LOL. When I was Tokyo Motor Show, (as I posted at http://priuschat.com/forums/prius-hybrid-news/69803-toyota-sai-hybrid-sedan-3.html) I saw some stickers around the hood release of some cars which told you to stay out of/not open the "engine room".
