    What are people paying in Southern Calif for Prius Pkg II. Will be useful to get some inputs and negotiation tips.

    While going to edmunds and kbb are good for getting an idea on price, the truth is that Toyota dealers are desperate to get rid of the 2010 Prius. I would start with an offer about a 1000 below invoice and let them know that you are aware of the dealer incentives with an aim for 500 below invoice.

    On 12/31/09, I purchased a II for $21,500. Emailed 30 SoCA dealers - some said it couldn't be done. It was. Even got mats & pearl white. The salesman wanted 1 more sale at end of the month. It was worth the headache. Hint, try Mossey in Pacific Beach (Matt, net sales dept.) Notes: price increased $400 this month to a base of $22,800; mine was cash w/no trade-in.
