I am looking for a good source on full electrical wiring diagrams for a 2006 Prius. Something with details such as which wire bundle under the dash contains the wires from the steering wheel buttons, and which of those wires is the defroster, or volume up. Also if there is detail down to pull up/down resistors on various wires showing which kind of signal what wires are. Also looking for information on the hybrid system voltages, amperages, and just how they interact in a general schematic. Does this book contain this sort of information, or is it more fluff like "this is the button and you twist to remove it"? I want electrical details not mechanical details.
Suggest you obtain a subscription to techinfo.toyota.com to obtain the electrical wiring diagram. The diagnostics portion of the repair manual will provide info about which wires are signal and what waveform to expect given specific operating conditions.
I second that!!! I downloaded both 08, and 09 on one long weekend!! But hey $15.00 for Service Manuals is a pretty good deal. I also have the book, while not "War and Peace", it has it's uses. I do prefer TIS however!! Oh, by the way, welcome to the group!

Warning: you'll find the EWDs are not particularly easy to download due to a recent change to TIS, good luck and let us know if you can figure out how to do that. The repair manual pages (besides EWD) can be printed as .pdf files if you have suitable software on your PC.
