On the news yesterday, there was a topic about the Toyota and its recalls. They said the Toyota's have killed 39 People due to the sticking accelerator. They even compared the Prius to the Ford Pinto, with the Pinto's 27 claimed lives.
Re: According to the hearing, the Prius has claimed 39 lives. Quite funny considering the prius doesn't have the accellerator issue. Rventhe brake problem isn't a big deal. To say that it had caused crashes is pushing things a bit
Re: According to the hearing, the Prius has claimed 39 lives. Careful here. My understanding is that there is no claim that accelleration in the PRIUS has claimed 39 lives. The claim is that it is TOYOTAS overall. This really changes the comparison with the Pinto, as there are way more Toyotas from 2000-09 out there than there ever were Pintos.
Re: According to the hearing, the Prius has claimed 39 lives. I know, a bit fishy if I do say so myself. I love Toyota's.
Re: According to the hearing, the Prius has claimed 39 lives. Yeah. I hope the mod's will read this, because I want them to change the title to "According to the hearing, Toyota's have claimed 39 lives."
Re: According to the hearing, the Prius has claimed 39 lives. Hi TPC, Could you fix the title of this thread. Change out the word "Prius" with "Toyota" per the text in your first post....
A provocative statement with so little substance. I might expect this kind of spin from politicians, but not on this site.
There are a lot of folks on here that believe the allegations are true. The politicians certainly fed it to the public in the hearings. Will the lawyers be able to prove all 39 claims in a court? Too early to tell.
That Prius Car loves Prius, and toyota. He was just trying to bring attention to it and start discussion. I asked him to when I was talking to him because I want to know how accurate it is. Don't misinterpret his (our) intentions please! =D
Listed by car manufacture, how many deaths each, have they been responsible for? How many deaths were caused by the Ford SUV rollovers for example?
