    He may have somewhat exagerated my true feelings, but all in all the author was pretty fair.

    That would have been my preference, but I knew what I was getting into when I agreed to the interview.
    My real view on this is more in the vein that the guy was faking the UIA issue, but not to get all the press he did, in hopes of getting Toyota's attention and maybe getting the car bought back w/o penalty to make up his missed payments. I believe he underestimated how big this would be the same way he underestimated how well people would research his past and understand why what he did couldn't happen they way he said it did.
