I want to install a lillput screen in place of the radio and "ac and fan" controls. Is there any certified shop that does this and how much would it cost? Also, how would I turn on AC if that "ac controls box" is removed.
The HVAC controls are digitally controlling the heat and AC. You cant replace them with standard switches or anything else. Also, I'm not sure what you mean by "certified". A mod like this would have to be authorized by Toyota so they would also have to be the certifier. Of course there's no way they would do this. If you move ahead with this I fear your warranty will be toast. Do you realize what the hit will be to trade-in value with a hack like this?
