Another reason to have a Prius in a crash. http://www.latimes.com/news/local/la-me-fa...ines-california
Starts to make you wonder. A few months ago there was a thread in here about the one over Memorial Day weekend up in either WA or OR (I forget which) involving fatalities but Prius occupants surviving, now this. Obviously, 2 wreaks don't make a trend but it's starting to look encouraging. But lets hope the sample size remains really small
Thank goodness the Prius riders had only minor injuries. The EMT personnel were probably too scared of electrocution to help if they were unconscious. [sarcasm] Because you know EMTs can be electrocuted if they even try to get a crash victim out of a hybrid. It's true because I read it online. [/sarcasm]
Ugh. I had to explain that very same thing to someone today. I'm glad the Prius is so safe. I thought about the Prius' excellent safety record while my co worker was crowing about her "5-star frontal crash test rating" on her new Jeep. (She also complains constantly about how much she pays for gas and how often she has to fill up)
