Can someone point me in the right direction for new ballasts. Both head lights went out and the mechanic said I need to order new ballasts.
I'd suspect the bulbs long before I'd suspect the ballasts. Bad HID bulbs is a known issue - Google around.
If both went out at the same time, check wiring/fuses. The ballasts are made by Denso and are the same ones used in all Lexus and Toyota models. They are completely analogue unlike many smaller more compact units which have digital control feedback in them. These units are robust and very very very unlikely to just blow up.
