new owner and backup cam

    I just bought a used 2005 Prius which does not have a backup camera. Cameras are available at used parts dealers but I was wondering if the 2005 had the camera wiring installed in the harness. One dealer thought that it was NOT there. If an original Prius camera can be installed, is there any other items that are needed to conect it to the Prius MFD.

    The wiring is not there if there was no backup camera originally installed at the factory. There are some aftermarket BU cameras available. Do a search here on PriusChat.
