    I paid less than that for my '04 in december, before the market floor fell out. And mine isn't salvage. I think that's too much.

    I've had salvage titled cars in the past. Always a PITA, you couldn't give me a salvage car now.

    Don't. There's too much about this car that cannot now be discovered. Your plan to pay cash is excellent, but find a different car.
