After washing my car this morning, I pulled it into the garage, pushed the park button, then the power button and got out of the car. Shortly after entering my house from the garage the horn started sounding very loudly. I grabbed the keys and ran back out to the garage to see what was wrong. I pushed the power button again but it just went to the accessory setting, then I powered up and checked to be sure I was in park, brake set, no door open. When I pushed the power button again, the horn stopped and everything seemed to be normal. I checked some other threads but they seemed to be about a horn alarm. I have not had an alarm activated that I know about. Anyone have this experience or know what happened?
My keys were in my purse and I don't think the panic button could have been accidentally pressed. I don't carry my keyfob in my pocket.
I agree with Bob. Even if your keyfob was in your purse, it takes very little pressure to press that panic button. Just jiggling your purse could have caused the keyfob to shift and press something into the button.
Seems weird it never happened before but I guess anything can happen at any given time. Thanks for your reply.
