What ever happen to the Enginer's patent pending Steam engine mod? It used to be in their site. Now it's nowhere to be found.

They entered a Gen1 Prius into the Progressive X prize competition with the steam engine modification + their PHEV conversion system but the car only netted ~52 MPG on the knockout portion of the test--it may have been abandoned?

I missed this one. What were they trying to accomplish?

Yeah I knew about that couple of months ago. At that time, the steam mod page was still up. so have they totally given up? Also was curious why they use a Gen I instead of Gen II. The Gen II would have netted a higher mileage.

That's the links I was looking for. Though it looks like it's missing alot of info.

Edit - Looks like the Enginer Kit went back up to $3495 for the 4KW kit. There's still 1 kit at $2495 on ebay and 1 auction left.
