The Trip Past Record monitor resets the history to one entry whenever I press and hold the Display button a little too long. There is no confirmation, it just happens unconditionally. I could not find documentation on this feature in the owner's manual. Is this correct behavior for a gen 3 and why would anyone want to do this? thank you!
I have had problems with this too. I wanted to keep one of the trip things as sort of a lifetime MPG measure but accidentally erased it today. I did read the section on this in the manual but found it clear as mud.
