Two accidents out of many thousands, from the widely separated locales of Cincinnati and West Texas, in which flagrant jaywalking results in a non-fatal collision. That's not even a rationale for taking jaywalking more seriously (which might be a good idea now that pedestrians are more aggressive in asserting their right of way than they used to be and more oblivious to traffic), let alone for a Prius-specific accident avoidance system.
