I was driving to work last night, and noticed an icon on the HSI screen, showing what appeared to be a car parked ahead of a gas pump. It wasn't a low fuel warning: we gassed the car up several days ago and it was one bar short of full. I pushed a few display buttons and it eventually vanished. I can find no such icon in the manual. Anybody know what it was...?
I could be thinking of the wrong icon, but if you see a number after it, this is the display showing how many miles further you can drive based on how much gas is in the tank... Dan
My thought as well, if it's in the same location and came color as the Trip Meters and Odometer then it's the Distance to Empty. If it's located elsewhere and yellow or red, then it's a warning light, and you got me stumped too...
Perhaps you pushed the trip button and called up the "miles to empty" display as mentioned by everyone above. Take a look at page 199 and see it that is it.
About half an hour after I posted this, I thought of the 'miles to empty' display, which I had seen briefly mentioned once, somewhere, and forgotten about. Anyway, I just looked at page 199 and that's the icon. Thanks, all. I'm beginning to think this car has a few too many bells and whistles...
