Does anyone know the toyota part number for the New DVD update for the 2010Prius. The original DVD that came with the car appears to be now out of date. alfon
Typically there are not a lot of changes between updates. I normally wait 3 years before updating, especially since the updates are expensive.
I had a 2002 Prius from 2002-2010 and only changed my DVD once because that was all they offered! If you want a good laugh, ask someone in the parts department how to get an updated DVD. I had one guy tell me it was downloaded from the satelite. For some reason they have no clue on this one so you must persevere.
If you have a 2010 Prius the DVD in your nav. system would be the 0.9 (2009) version. If you go to INFO-PHONE button and then choose Map Data it will tell you what version you have and will also let you scroll thru all the cities, towns, etc. to see what areas are covered. The new 2010 map is available (here at our dealership they are $199) The Part # is 86271GEN06-10......however, you really shouldn't need a new one yet. Hope this helps! Hi barb, Does all 2010 have the 2009 version of the DVD map? I just checked mine and it is the version 8. I believe that the dealer switch an old map when they fix my head unit. Thanks for the info Kimoy
I don't see what they would gain by doing that. Did you buy the 2010 as soon as they came out? Don't know your market but just doesn't seem likely. Maybe you bought it before the 09 vs. was out - I'm not sure of the answer on that one.... b
I just bought it march of this year. The production date of my prius is Jan 10. I don't get it either. I am trying to get at least the right version for my car. The service writer there doesn't know much about the car. I ask him about it and he sat on the car fiddling on the buttons and after 5 mins of doing that he came out and said that there is no way of switching the disk because it is located under the seat and I was Wth you dont know. That is the third time he does that to me but the first 2 I thought he was doing something else.
