Guys, when I go over bumps or press down on the hatchback area, the entire rear of the car squeaks. It's almost as if nothing in the suspension area was lubed when the car was new. I have about 2k miles on it. Anyone experience the same? Guess it's time for my first service visit.
This is a total lack of quality control and cost cutting by Toyota as you can see from the recent recalls. When I go over a bump, something in the rear rattles...maybe the window. My friends used Ford Escape 2008 is solid like a brick, no rattles and he takes extra effort to drive over potholes (to demonstrate ford quality). If the prius did that, it would fall apart. The interior of the Ford, although plastic, looks like forged titanium steel.....while the interior of the Prius...is cheap plastic that squeaks/bends.
