Don't know nuthin' 'bout no leases... but maybe 2010 end-of-model-year prices are beginning to break. Here we are, mid-November, and for a no-options, Blizzard Pearl II, truecar.com is showing $20,023 for area code 03801. Does anyone see any 2011s bobbing about over the waves? That should put a little more pressure on 2010 prices. So for all you 2011s looking for U.S. Ports of Entry... :welcome:
2011 vs 2010 incentives The first 2011 Prius allocation happens tonight. The first few 2011's are special order cars (fleet units usually) arriving on boats that dock right around Thanksgiving. Those already show on some inventory sheets. The larger allocation for mainstream buyers starts tonight... meaning, we're done with 2010 ... so whatever dealers have or have in their pipeline for 2010's will not be added to with more 2010 models. The incentives change tomorrow morning, once the sales for the first two weeks of Nov are assessed and Toyota sees where the TDA and incentive $$ needs to be distributed. I hope our rates drop but they are already quite low! The residuals are not gonna jump up, so the only way to blow the 2010's off the map is to limit the good new 2011 product to the point where a 2010 is a MUST, or add some sort of cash incentive to the current lease plan. I can't see where dropping the rates from .00025 even to .00001 means a $10 a month savings. That's probably not keeping any possible buyers away. The folks who plan to lease will know it's best to go with a 2010 at this juncture.
Nov 16th - 30th incentives in SoCal Prius deals changed slightly... Buy rates are now 0% for 36 months, or 0.9 for 48 or 60 months. Lease rates dropped a little - tier 1+ is now .00020 (approx $7-9 a month interest total) Like I suspected, not much changed. Now everyone's going to scramble for the last few good colors and models/packages !!
My local dealer is showing $1,500 cash back OR 60 months at 0% (qualified applicants of course) as of today.
