So THAT'S why I can't get a boyfriend!!!!????!!!!! I make 'em ride in the trunk. No more: "Why didn't you park in that space?" or "Why did you take THAT turn?" or "Slow down!" or "You drive like a maniac!" I think it's the fact that I have no depth perception, well, not like most people do..... hhhhhhmmmmmmmmmmm......... JUST KIDDING!
Too many drivers have made it a habit to pull up until their tires hit the curb. Everywhere I park where there are curbs, half the vehicles are pulled so far up they partially block the sidewalk. My current vehicle (soon to be traded for a Prius) is a Honda Civic and it has the lowest front end of any vehicle I've owned. I can barely squeeze a lowered floor jack under its nose. I learned very quickly after taking possession that I had to say well away from curbs. Learning with the Civic will make it much easier when I take ownership of a Prius. Vic
When I was a kid I tried to get my dad to buy these for his new Ferrari... He couldn't stop laughing...
45 psi? Isn't the recommended at around 33 psi ? What is the maximum psi limit for the tire? How much better mpg are you getting with higher psi?
MPG will go up significantly... Tires can go up above 60psi before they're quick to pop... I pushed the crappy Integrities tires the car came with up to about 52/51psi before they had noticeable loss of traction. To me the sweet spot for great MPG and solid road handling is 48/47 psi on these tires. Hopefully I'll be able to go higher when I replace with Michelin. It all depends on the roads you drive on and how aggressively you drive. Reccommended psi is liability-driven, not performance or mpg driven. If you drive on gravel and potholed roads lower pressure is safer than higher pressure.
I was told to increase the PSI on my 09 to 42 F 40 R Anyone tried this? Help MPG? How about handling?
I just take a guess how close I am and, so far, I've been missing the concrete bumpers by about a foot. Now, II worry about someone hitting the back of the car.
An extra-thick and long license plate frame made of rubber may solve the problem. I don't have the means to create one, but has anyone seen such a product on the market....or want to market one? Caledm
