It's almost not worth mentioning sales of either of these vehicles, as they are only 'officially' releasing them this year... but most won't be even able to take delivery until after the new year. My local Nissan dealer doesn't know anything on the Leaf, and their website still treats the Leaf as a experimental prototype... not a good way to drum up support, let me tell you...
It's probably because your area isn't a launch market. Nissan Delivers Tennessee's First 100% Electric Nissan LEAF -- NASHVILLE, Tenn., Dec. 21, 2010 /PRNewswire/ -- mentions (Nissan moved their US HQ to TN awhile ago...) edit: I found http://www.nissan-global.com/EN/NEWS/2010/_STORY/100727-02-e.html which lists more about their roll out plans.
Unfortunately that link is 5 months old, and there have been delays. Actual roll-outs will be later than stated there.
