From the looks of the picture in the article (car's color), the PiP's may simply be the PiP's already running around the landscape . . . . the existing test mules that many of us have already spent a great deal of time driving around ... and NOT the soon to be released production models. For those who haven't yet had any chances to try a PiP out ... that'd be the way to go. Only be prepared to NOT expect it to perform exactly like the production models.
Wow. They only do that in their own cars. We have car2go here, with smart fourtwo Hopefully they will soon have the ev version. you rent them by the minute with insurance and gas included, and they have special parking spots (the reason I use them). Its great for students that can normally use bikes or busses, but occasionally want a car to go shopping or pick someone up at the airport. But these demo prii, are not the production ones, anyone test driving them by renting from zipcar, might as well just rent a normal gen III liftback.
