Hello everyone! I've been lurking here at PriusChat for a couple of weeks, and recently joined, as well as buying an '07 Prius (In my avatar) I have been a 'car guy' ever since I got my license half a lifetime ago. The Prius is my first Toyota, and my first Hybrid. My main reason for looking at another vehicle was the abysmal MPG's of my existing fleet. I have ventured into alternative fueling in the past (Homebrew biodiesel), but I was intrigued with Toyota's HSD after researching it recently, so I decided to give the Prius a shot. I've only had it a week, and I absolutely love the car. Now I just need to find a set of those elusive factory service manuals. My local dealer will not sell them to me! Unfortunately I am having issues with my HID headlights, which I didn't read about until _after_ the purchase, and looks like I'll be stuck with fixing!
Aloha and Welcome, Congratulations on getting a Prius just got one myself a couple of weeks ago. How is winter treating you over there in Chocolate City USA? I have visited Hershey a few times in my youth, and then a couple of years back I had to go to FTIG for a couple of weeks. We have a two Toyota household my wife has a Tacoma and has had others prior to that, my Prius is my first Toyota.
Congrats on your recent Prius acquisition. Some of your vehicles are soon-to-be collector items! Welcome to PriusChat. I'm sure the experience here will see you through your Prius needs. I could eat my Prius if it were dipped in Hershey chocolate. Happy Motoring, Tom P.S. Go Steelers!
Welcome to Prius chat fellow Pa.'er. We get to Hershey every now and then on our way to York and Gettysburg to visit Chocolatetown and still go on the free ride LOL. Hope you enjoy your Prius.
Thanks for the warm welcome, everyone! We're in the middle of a cold spell right now, saw 5 degrees on my display while driving last night! I'm anxious to see what kind of MPG I can pull one the weather warms up!!
If your HID-equipped Prius is <50K miles, you should be eligible for Toyota finally forced to pay for 2006-2009 Prius headlight repairs | PriusChat. You might be disappointed w/your mileage for now, due to the cold weather. You should consider grille blocking and inflating tires above the door sticker pressures, to start.
If you do a google search for "Toyota owners manuals" you will see a link to to Toyota /owners. Click on that link and login. Enjoy your Prius.
