i have a 2011 package II with stock audio equip. owner manual says it has Automatic Sound Levelizer (ASL). When “ASL†is selected, turning to the right changes the ASL level in the order of “LOWâ€, “MID†and “HIGHâ€. Turning to the left turns off the ASL. ASL automatically adjusts the volume and tone quality according to vehicle speed. No matter what i set, my volume don't change regardless of the vehicle speed. Anyone know how this works?
I have a 2010 European Prius Exec. with standard 8 speaker system. The levelling works fine, but a bit too thumpy in the bass when set to mid IMO. If the system works the way it should, You shouldn't notice that much difference. The system should compensate road and wind noise with a loudness fill in.
actually my system don't seem to work at all. if i set my volume to desired level when car is stopped, and then i get on the freeway, i almost cannot hear the radio anymore (because the volume is too low) - i don't think my system adjusts anything (volume/bass etc.) automatically based on vehicle speed.
