DIY beep disable instruction for Gen 3?

    The following information comes to me in a fax from my dealer. The dealer found it on the web (justanswers.com). Can anyone confirm that this is for the GEN 2 prius? I don't see an ODO button on my gen 3. I think someone has mis-informed me.

    i have absolutely no idea why the picture attached rotated 90 degrees. The file is oriented correctly on my machine. Sorry.

    Could it be referring to the "TRIP/ODO" button on the steering wheel? Then you get it to the regular ODO reading, vs trip readings. That's what it sounds like. It states GEN III at the top, and only North America models, so that leads me to think it's for a G3. Feel free to test it and let us know how it goes :)

    This is for Gen II only. Gen III does not have a trip/odo button in the same sense, Gen III is on the steering wheel.

    yes i just went to the justanswers site and read it for myself. the accepted answer is that there's no way to do it outside of a dealer visit or other hook up. Thanks for the confirmation.
