I would imagine that the bigger insurance savings is from younger drivers not buying Prii - you have the double disincentive for most - not at all sporty and also the hybrid premium. As for the question about cars that appeal to older drivers - I think it is funny that so many of the cars that were designed to be attractive to younger drivers are being bought by boomers - Scions, Matrix, Element are just a couple that come to mind.
Most younger drivers I know of who see the scions, matrix and elements to be unattractive when it is compared to a mazda 3, miata, tsx, mini cooper, vw jetta/golf, mustang, altima for the price and driving fun experience.
Indeed. And it works well for all the younger Prius owners/drivers here because insurance would be lower than a new Civic, Mazda3 or tC.
